2nd Gear Sticking

Just bought my 98 wrangler and ever since winter has hit my 2nd gear has become hard to shift into. It does get a little better after driving it for a while but still bothers me. I have researched this forum and found most of the problem may be the transmission lube. With that said most people prefer Redline MTL or MT90 gear lube but haven't seen MT-85 mentioned. Seen as its winter out I thought I might give MTL a try but I read somewhere that if you tow a trailer it might be too thin of a lube so use MT90.
I was on Redline's website and there's another gear lube MT-85 which seems to be in between the two MTL and MT-90. Since my summers aren't generally hot (70-90's sometimes) but get very cold, would going with the middle gear lube be more acceptable? And I could still tow a trailer without damaging my transmission in both winter/summer?

Thanks for the knowledge!

I think this goes for most transmissions. what I do in the winter is put my transfer case in neutral and the tranny n 5th so while the engine is warming up, its spinning the trans warming the gear oil also

My NV3550 does the same thing on cold days. I find that double clutching for the first couple miles helps tremendously. Like me, it's just cranky about getting going on cold mornings...
