3 link rear

im gettin a rubi axle. and i have a few questions..

it has a bolt on 3 link rear truss on the axle.. what all will i need to get to mount the axle to my jeep?

also the gear ratio is different from the front to back.. is there a way i can still drive my jeep until i get the front regeared?

Just don't shift into 4x4 and you'll be ok with different f/r ratios. How the tri-link gets mounted to the Jeep depends on who made the tri-link. Find out who made it like Rubicon Express or Full Traction and get the info from them on what you'll need to do. At a minimum you'll need new rear control arms.

in the email he sent me he said its a direct bolt on kit.. all id have to do is remove the bolts and the 3link plate comes off..

he said id need a shorter drive shaft.. could i put this off until i go with a long-arm upgrade this summer?

also i wont have to disco my front driveshaft? or is it recommended.. i was reading in another thread that its better on the front if you do

can you even put 5.13s in a d30? i plan on putting the d44 in the back and going with a hp d30 in the front

i assume that 3 link removes the track bar and replaces the upper control arms with a triangular one?
any pics?

he said that the 3link is total bolt on and once its off ill have the stock mounts.. the problem im running into now is my front axle and the hp d30 i wanna put in cant hold 5.13 gears

im just gonna keep the 3link plate until im ready to go to a 3link rear.. saves me some money..

im thinking just not offroading in it for a while.. finding a d44 for the front and put 5.13 gears in it.. since i cant do a d30.. ill just not be able to use my 4wd

switching them isnt hard, its the adjusting that tends to make people have shops put them in as then you can point fingers. If you adjust them wrong (most likely you will adjust them wrong if no experience), few miles can kill brand new gears.

The only Dana30 that accepts 5.13 gears is a new reverse rotation Dana30 out from a JK Wrangler.

the problem is is that i am just getting the bolted on part.. hes getting custom made axles and is just having the brackets welded on..

im just gonna take it off and make my own control arms..

what are the specs of the stock control arms? (all 8) and trip what do yours messure to be?

i want to make mine to accommodate 3.5-5.5'' of lift, ill be able to weld them up in my metal fabrication class with my teacher to help me.. im thinking of just leaving it short arm for now..

doing so might give you vibes as the bottom of the axle gets pushed back while the top remains in the same place and will look like this.

My plan is when i go with expensive control arms (with JJ), might as well do the cheap stuff as well and get the 50 bucks brackets and go long arm at least for the lower control arms.
