32rh TV cable sticking?

Ive been fighting this issue for a while now on and off. The gas peddle gets really light and the jeep stays in each gear longer as well as downshifts rapidly while decelerating. most of the time i simply reach under the jeep and move the TV cable lever on the tranny a few times to loosen it up enough to be normal but as soon as i hit the gas heavy its back to sticking.

Any ideas guys?

Is the 32RH a factory install? Regardless, I'd disco the TV cable at both ends and see if it is binding inside its plastic sheath. Is the TV lever on the transmission working freely? I converted my TJ to run the 32RH and had to install the TV cable from scratch but mine worked fine, it never gave me any problems.

I had it rebuilt about 30k ago .Ok i disconnected both ends and its 100% the cable binding. Also found that part of the cable is fraying at the transmission end but the bind is inside the cable its self. Forced some oil down the cable and that seemed to free it up for now.

To be on the safe side i am just going to replace the cable but i cant seem to find it or a price anywhere

dealership ordered part?

Here's the Mopar p/n for the TV cable... 52104031. I'd only expect it at the dealer though you may find it on Google at Google Product Search

Edit: they're out there... I just did a Google search for it, click on

Thanks Jerry much appreciated. Perhaps i was a little flustered while searching and overlooked. I am just going to call the dealership Monday, hopefully the price isn't an arm and a leg.

Dealer parts departments will usually give you a discount if you push them to. They will never offer one up front... ya gotta ask/push for it.
