You can tolerate that combination, but lower gears would be better. I have been "tolerating" my 4.11's, 33" tires, and NV3550 5-speed since 2003. It's fine in the flatlands of Silicon Valley, but I have to use 4th gear, sometimes 3rd gear, when I'm cruising the highways in the Sierras. I am flogging my 4.0L to the floor all the time, keeping up with my four wheeling buddies in Toyota's and Ford pickups and a supercharged JK.

Now however, I want to tow a small (less than 1000lbs) trailer, so I'm planning 4.88's and a brake upgrade to the Vanco 16" kit. Without plans for towing a trailer, it would be 4.56 gears. After 8 years on 33's, I don't feel the need for bigger tires.

The bottom of my post said 3spd auto. (32rh).

I am in a little different boat than you manual shift guys. My top gear is 1:1 ratio.
Would you be happy on the road with a 3.73, if you could never shift pass 4th gear?
Gear charts say I am in the highway/mileage section up to 34", but that is just a chart. My buddy has 3.07 gears and 31's and I can tollerate it, and the gearing of this combo should be better than that , correct?

For your 3-speed automatic and 33" tires, I'd go with 4.10 gearing.
