4.0 sparkplug change

I want tune up Distrib-wires- change plugs in my daughters 1998-4.0 straight 6. Since the jeeps not here to see at the moment, if I remember right- is the first spark plug (closest to the front) blocked by the ac compressor? I just remember seeing it and thinking theres no easy way to get to it.

That particular plug is not right out in the open but it's still easily changed. Just use a 3/8" ratchet drive, an 8" or so 3/8" extension, and a wobble-joint between the spark plug socket and extension and you can snake the socket down through the bracket and onto the spark plug.

The spark plug wiring boot may be a little tough to get off where that particular plug is concerned. I started using a set of spark plug ignition wire pliers there and they made getting that particular plug's boot off much easier.
When you have a choice, buy American.
