4wd light not calibrated on 03 TJ

So my buddy and I installed a SYE and tummy tuck. We had to adjust the linkage to shift into 4lo. Finally turned on ignition and the light is off. 2wd lights up 4wd, 4hi turns light off, and 4lo the light comes back on. Where do I adjust to sync that light back up?

Thanks

Any starting places would help - is it just messing with the linkage or something else?

I would say that something inside the transfer is not correct. The light turns on when the sensor mounted on the transfer is activated. I'm not sure what exactly the piece looks like that closes that contact. I would guess that something with the sye is not correct. That is just me assuming though!!

Oh, I hope not - that was a PITA to do and re-doing it would suck big time... but thanks for the comments.

I feel like it's shifting through all the positions in the transfer case, but until I get the driveshaft connected and test - I won't really know; unless there is a way to visually check before filling it up with fluid and test driving.

Sounds like you did not get the linkage ajusted right. Shift it to where the lever is pulled all the way up. The 4x4 light should be on. Drive it a little and verify it is in low range 4x4. Loosen ajustment Then ajust lever so it is in 4x4 low position. Then retighten shift into 2wd verifying the light goes off in the neutral position comes back one in 4 hi position then back off in 2 hi.
