4wd messing up? help me!

the other day i was wheeling and got stuck in 2 wheel drive. so i put it in 4h and when i slowly dropped the clutch my jeep didnt move and engine was barely staying i live as i something was stressing it. it kind of felt as if my e-brake was tightly engaged. and when i put it in 4 low, when i dropped the clutch , nothing happened except clicking. For some weird reason this only happens when im in 2 wd and im stuck and i engage 4wd. when im just on regulary road, every thing works perfect. HELP ME PLEASE.

Sounds like the transfer case shift lever mechanism is simply out of adjustment so it's not positioning the shifter rods properly. That's an easy fix, crawl underneath and you can probably figure out which way to adjust it. Or take it to a 4x4 shop where someone should know how to adjust the shift mechanism. Should be pretty cheap to fix.

Remember that having a different opinion doesn't also require one to be a jerk when expressing it.

When you have a choice, buy American.

You will also find out that shifting into 4WD is easier when barely rolling. Putting it in 4WD, before you get stuck, would be much healthier on your driveline.
