The ring gear is about .5" bigger in the 8.25 than the Dana 35, meaning it probably wouldn't physically fit in the case. Also, depending on the year, some had 29 spline shafts, a spline count not offered in a Dana 35. (This is assuming you wanted to put a 8.25 carrier in a dana 35)Finally, why would you want to do this swap? When people break their Dana 35, its not the ring gear or carrier that brakes, its the axle shaft. Even people running 30 spline chromoly shafts locked with 35" tires on their dana 35 aren't tearing up their 7.56" ring gears.
So no, you wouldn't be able to use those gears you have because they are bigger than the gears that come in the Dana 35. The bolt pattern would probably be off and the ring gear may not even fit in the case.
