Does your TJ have a tall body lift or a deep transfer case drop installed?

no it has 31in tires with the JK' wheels and has spacers and thats pretty much it for mods. i mean im hittin about 1500ish rpm's, slowly comin off the clutch and once im at a decent moving speed completely off the clutch, give a bit more gas and it pops right out, just started this today. maybe when i come to a stop, i usually go straight from 4th/5th to neutral then 1st and take off, idk if that would do anything versus downshifting through all gears. its also in 2 high 2WD btw.

I assume that this is a new occurence and that you have miles on it previously, in its current configuration, without issues correct?

If so, then this could be relative to a few separate causes including: condition of your trans fluid, internal trans issue (synchros, fork, blockers,), damaged motor or trans mounts, broken components or loose bolts or missing dowel pins, or a problem with the shifter itself. It's easiest to start by examining the shifter first, to insure that nothing is loose or damaged.

Keep in mind that if this is affecting a single gear only then it is most commonly associated with something internal but checking the easy stuff first won't hurt! Let me know if you have other questions and I will be happy to help.

Sounds like your synchronizer is going out..does it grind when you put in first? I had a '86 Toyota pickup that jumped out of 2nd and reverse and it was the synchronizers.
