I just recently changed the fuel hose coming from the middle top of the tank. I had a buddy give my battery a jump. I started it up drove down the road for about 5 mins and unless my foots on the pedal my jeep dies. Any help? My battery is still dead. I have good connections to my terminals and I just cleaned my air filter
Your engine won't idle or run right after being jump started when the battery is dead because the alternator requires 12v from the battery to produce power. Charge the battery overnight and it will be ok so long as the battery isn't toast. The days of being able to drive on the generator with a dead battery are long gone. Most alternators require 12v, all Wrangler alternators do.
Had a bad battery but I bought a new one and she runs fine. Thanks for the help
