98 wrangler a/c bypass suggestions

Hey guys, I've not had the best of luck with vehicles lately and I could use some help ASAP. My daily driver has decided to take a s*** on me so I'm driving my 98 wrangler for the time being and the a/c pulley is starting to seize up. I've looked online to try and come up with some ideas as to what to do about it and 2 answers are continuously popping up. 1. buy an A/C bypass pulley for about $35 and 2. get a shorter belt, 79", and just route it under the A/C pulley directly to the alternator. I really need a fast response to this one because I'm out of options as far as driving is concerned.

Thank you for the help guys, I really appreciate it.

This happened to me and I just bought a free spinning junk yard pully from one of those "you pull" lots for like 15 bucks. Later on when I had some extra bucks I charged the system and the part worked perfectly Hahaa. Just be careful de-pressuring your AC and realizing environment nuts would want you dead for dripping refridgerant on the ground Hahaa.

Most just by the shorter "non a/c" belt. Then when you fix the compressor & go back to the old belt you will have an emergency spare for when yours goes someday or you meet a stranded jeeper on the trail.
