99' dashboard lights help!

I bought my first Jeep used last week but It didt have the manuel so I cant look up on how to fix the little problems. Some of the lights on the dashboard next to the speedomiter dont light up, Like the brights one and the 4 wheel drive one and a few others. What could be the problem....change a fuse or a bulb? If its the fuse which one do I change? If its the bulb how do I get to it?

Sorry for such a lame question.

Thanks!

the dash lights themselves are pretty easy to fix. you'll need to pull the dash apart. pull the cowl piece off where the defrost vent is(it just snaps in). that will uncover some screws that hold half the dash in. behind the ash tray are a few more screws. and then next to the door area are three more screws that hold the dash in. that should have the dash off. then you can pull the cluster out and fix those lights. as for the 4x4 light...that could be a light or the connection by the tranny could be loose, disconnected, etc. hope this is 1. all correct and 2. gives you a good place to start.

got to thinking about it....its been a while since i took my dash apart and it's in another state atm, so i can't check. but i don't think you have to take the three screws next to the doors off. and there are a couple others down the dash from the steering wheel.
