First time post, *JEEP WAVE* Evening all! I have a 99 TJ that was experiencing starting and stalling issues when it rained heavily or when it was really humid. Id have moisture somewhere and spray wire dry on rotor, cap, plugs and the brain box and it would solve the problem.
Here in WI, we had a 100% humidity the other night and I jumped it it fired it up, drove it and then it stalled and shut off. I was able to get it started and used the infamous jeep limp mode to get home.
I spoke with my mechanic buddy and he suggested I do the following of which I did.
Changed All of Following
1. Changed Plugs
2. Changed Wires
4. Distributor Cap
My TJ fires up and I go for a drive. When I hit the high end of the RPM before I shift roughly 1800 or 2000 rpms, and it misfires. So when I shift it stops when the RPM's drop. I am not sure what to do next. Any information anyone can provide would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks Guys, JEEP ON!
