99 TJ 4.0 warmup?

Hi all,

New to the forum and to my current Jeep so I've got a question about a potential issue. I've had the Jeep for about a week now and I've noticed that a minute or 2 after starting, well before things get warmed up, I get a severe power drop like it's choking itself out. It lasts 10 or 15 seconds and then things are back to normal. I don't know much about the guts of this one but it seems like it's just a warming up issue and the computer is over/under compensating for the lack of warmup. Any suggestions? Advice? Fist bumps for getting back to a Jeep?

Notes: It's a 99 Sahara, 4.0 with 5 speed. As near as I can tell it's bone stock and I would guess that a previous owner towed it behind an RV evidenced by 4-pin trailer light plug with 4' of wire coming out the front (stashed behind grill for storage).

Other notes: I drove an '81 CJ-7 for quite a while back in the late 80s-early 90s but it was a completely different creature.

Thanks a bunch!
