Smile 99 Wrangler 4.0 5-spd help

Hey folks! Newbie here, hoping I can find some help (and maybe in time provide a little).

Took my 99 Wrangler 4.0 in to AAMCO to have the transmission worked on for a bad syncro (3rd to 4th) as it had begun to not fully engage most of the time. The shop replaced the syncro (and clutch as it was below 50%) and I picked the jeep up just before they closed for the 4th of July. When I got it back, it was very stiff going into 2nd and 4th, almost to the point of refusal, and it didn't loosen up at all.
I took it back to them (warrantied work) and they've been unable to figure out what they did. They had it another 10 days and said they'd "improved" the problem, and maybe it would "drive out of it". It hasn't. Shifting into 2nd is usually like trying to force a knife through cold cheese (like the engineering jargon? ) 4th goes in like it should sometimes, and now I sometimes have to hunt for gears. This is for upshift and downshift both... Any ideas? Sorry for the long-winded (low content) post...

Ask for a full refund and take your rig to a reputable transmission shop. It is obvious that they lack the skill set to repair your transmission.

Hopefully you have verified no tub interference with shifter in back two positions
