99 wrangler starts for a second then stops

A friends jeep got wet last night and stalled, couldnt get it started last night but it would turn over fine. dried everything still nothing. This morning he goes to start it and it will run for a second then die. Any ideas?

yeahhh.... been working on his jeep all day and nothing. just trying to get answers and i thought it would be easier if i separated that from the original post. Please dont whip me
