!997 TJ Suspension Question

Hello I am lifting my 97 Tj I am attempting to assmble the rear end, all that is left, is the attachement of swaybar links and attaching the stabilizer bar at the upper attachment point. The stabilizer bar is proving to be a real pain in the @#$!!!! any pointers on an easier way to accomplish this? Do I connect Swaybar links 1st, Should i PUT THE WHEELS ON AND LOWER it to the ground. Any guidance would be helpful
Thanks Geoff2

are you talking about the actual sway bar or the track bar? i didnt have to take my sway bar off, just the end links which are just a bolt on each end, but the track bar was a pita with the upper connection. ended up cutting the bolt and buying a new one because the old one was seized in the metal part of the bushing and iw would nut budge, just spun.

If it is the sway bar links that are a problem did you get the extended ones that should have came with the lift? If not I have a pair I can sell you that haven't been used.

If it is the track bar and it is adjustable, put the wheels on and lower it back to the ground. Bounce the suspension a little and adjust the trackbar to fit. If it is the stock track bar and you put the lowering bracket on it will be a pain, ratchet straps and a couple extra hands make it easier.
