A/C Question

I am a new jeep owner. So I dont know the quirks About them. To get on with my question is about my ac. My ac works great in city driving, but when I get on the highway and drive over 60 - 65mph My ac starts blowing cycling through all the vents. It will blow through the defrost vent, Then to my feet, then to my dash vent and so on. I can make it change by taking my foot on and off the gas. My jeep is pretty much new. Its an 06 unlimited with 3000 miles on it. It has done it since bought it ... Which was at 1100 miles. Is this a jeep thing. I have heard that jeeps arent known for their ac... So I hope you guys and girls can help me out...

Thanks Bob

I'm not very knowledgeable on how your new jeep is set up but I know some Chrysler vehicles use vacuum to operate the heater controls, which sounds just like what your experiencing. If you have your foot barely on the throttle and set the controls to the floor and stomp on the throttle it changes to the dash vents or the defroster. That is because there is little or no vacuum when the throttle plate is wide open or close to it.

Unless I'm wrong and there is something else I'm not aware of your just going to have to live with it. I have been wrong in the past. Someone else will probably chime in soon.
