A couple of Jeep TJ questions...

Well, after almost giving up (see earlier post) I searched my area again and found a very nice 2006 Unlimited (thanks for the suggestion for the 05 or 06). It's blue, soft top, 6 speed, 44K miles and the price is right. I'm considering everything and will probably try and get it tomorrow. A couple of questions:

1: The paint is a nice deep blue and almost looks like it has flakes in it (very small). It sparkles in the bright sunshine and then mellows out once the sun goes starts to go down. I'm sure I'm asking a silly question, but was this a factory color? Don't get me wrong, it's not a gaudy color, but I've just never noticed the color. Most of the Jeeps I've seen have more of a flat color. Just don't want one that's been repainted.

2. The top and fenders are not black. I think the fenders were, but have faded like a lot of others I've seen. No problem, the only reason I even mention it is because the top is a gray/brown color and almost matches the fenders. The top looks brand new and has tinted windows. Is this possibly the original top or probably a replacement?

You may have the same color as mine...I think it's called Patriot Blue with the Pearlcoat (maybe?). If you can see through the mud and dirt on mine, you can see the blue and tiny metal flake. LOL My goal is to leave it blue, but all accent trim pieces changed to black. My hardtop is a tan color now, but will be black by the time I put it back on in the fall.
