First question- Everytime I hit a bump of pothole or go off-roading I loose steering tightens up just a bit and you start to hear it's whining. Has anyone else had this problem? Could it be the steering fluid pump?
Second question- when I bought my Jeep the guy who sold it to me said he was gonna lift it but just didn't have time. So he gave me the parts he was gonna lift it with.... And this is it. Is there anything else I NEED lol like actually need
Looks like he gave you 4 stock lower control arms and a pair of stock rear sway bar links. Measure how long those coils are. The internet tells me that stock uncompressed is 17" front, 12" rear.
Have you checked your power steering fluid level yet? If it's low, top it off with power steering fluid if it's a 2002 or older. Use ATF+4 to top it off if it's a 2003 or newer.
So I know I could probably get those springs under there for a four inch lift with the extended shocks and be ok. But what difference would it make if I upgraded to adjustable front lower control arms? Would it allow better flexing and ride? Any input is appreciated
Did you ever measure those springs? I still think you have a box of stock parts.
Adjustable control arms with better joints (Johnny Joints or Metalcloak) will allow you to correct driveline angles as a result of a suspension lift. Better joints will allow for more freedom of movement in the suspension without tearing off mounts.
4" of lift is a lot and requires several other modifications to make work. Measure those coils and tell us what you find. And put your sandals back on.
I'll definately measure them when I get back from this vacation. Haha those are stock control arms for sure but idk about the springs.
