A lift

I just purchased a 98 wrangler and I'd like to know how I go about finding out how much lift it has. The wrangler has a 2.5/5spd. With a soft top. 31" tires and about 6-7" of clearance between tire and factory flare. No 1" spacers between transfer case skid plate and frame. It doesn't appear to have a body lift or spacers on the springs. The springs r black. It has 3 es3000 shocks. Left rear is missing. Can u say scary to drive. I won't b texting.

This table show the coil spring measurements for various lifts. Do yourself a favor and replace all 4 shocks with something decent. OME, Bilstein, Rancho RS 9000...

31" tires and 6-7" of clearance, I think the jeep is most likely stock. Take a look at one of the front springs, is there a spacer in the bump stop? #1 thing to address first is replacing the rear shock.

My problem is I've always wanted a wrangler and I don't want to go over board and dump a ton of money into this thing. I only want the necessities. I wanna put 33" tires on it and I wanna gear it appropriately. So where do I start. Do I start with a lift and a sye or just shocks. I'm not sure where to start. I'd like to wheel it a few times a year and have fun doing it. Ps. I'm on a budget. Lol

Thx big cole for the chart. Does those spring heights measure on the jeep or off?
