AC blows hot air

Howdy
Looking for some ideas where to start looking. I have a 97 Sport. Factory AC that is blowing hot air. The check valve is pressurized and appears to be charged. Is there a sensor or fuse that it could be?

1st make sure the a/c system has the proper charge on it, then check & see if the compressor is engaging, if its not visually look for metal shavings around the front of the compressor. If u see some replace the compressor & drier. Also check the cycling switch for power

Like drum97 asks, do you see the a/c compressor clutch cycling on/off?(outside clutch spinning/stopping). Invest in some a/c guages to check the pressure properly instead of guessing. Those are cheap and some comes with the freon can. Note that and undercharge or even overcharge a/c system will cause your issues.
