AC condenser

Having serious problem with the AC. Been to the shop for a new compressor, some sort of hose, spent a ton.... and now they reckon there is a slow leak in the condenser. Quoted 1000 bucks to replace this!

So, I'm doing it myself, which would you guys go for:
Mopar from Jeepsareus #1- 1997-2002 $319.00
JC Whitley Crown OEM $189.99

Anyone else tried this job also?

I see this is a big job - dashboard off etc. I've got a service manual and I've decided to go for mopar because I want it to last as long as possible!

I'll trade some internet surfing time for useful time and save $$$!

if its a small leak, they have a refrigerant recharge kit that comes with a stop leak. id try that before tearing into it.

Dashboard off? Isnt it just a case of unbolting the thing and bunging in a new one?

Checked the service manual. Weel yes there are only 2 connections for the hoses. But I'm kinda worried about working with high pressure hoses and the manual puts alot of emphasis about properly discharging/recharging the coolant etc.

You do have to take quite a bit of the dash off to get access also
