Exclamation advice please?

hello...i have a 2.5 1998 jeep wrangler. i wanted to put 31x10.5x15's on it. also a 2in lift...i keep getting mixed reviews...should i do this or is it a bad idea because of the 2.5. it is not a daily driver but not just a toy as well. any advice you could give me? thank you!

You'll be fine with that combination. A little less power and a little worse gas mileage, but it will not be that extreme of a change. If you want the look, do it.

I have 33's on a 2.4L with 3.73 gears and I've been fine. You will be more than fine.

No problems for what you are wanting to use your Jeep for and it will look much nicer.

Either will be fine, since it doesn't sound like you will be doing any major rock climbing or anything...

Depends what you mean by make a difference. You will be 2 inches higher, if you don't replace shocks or coils the ride will remain the same.

Shocks are what is mostly responsible for ride quality. A while back I put on rough country 2.2 shocks and they were absolutely terrible. It felt like I was driving a covered wagon across a boulder field they were really that bad. I sent them back and replaced them with OME shocks and it rides much better than even stock now. If your going to do shocks you might as well do a 2" coil lift instead of spacers, JMO. If your set on spacers you can replace the shocks and pop in spacers and depending what kind of shocks you get the ride could be better or worse than stock.
