Air Bag Question

I purchased my 1997 Wrangler with a traditional tube bumper installed. How does this affect the functionality of the air bags? Where is the sensor that causes them to engage in a front-end collision?

Thanks

G-Force

Bumpers don't affect the air bag, at least not significantly. The air bag sensor itself is located inside the passenger compartment, under the most forward part of the console in front of the shifter... that small flat square aluminum enclosure you can kinda sorta see if you lift up the front of the console a little.
