air filters stock !!!

So today i was looking at my air filter and i did notice that i have a paper/foam filter. (stock 06 4.0l) and i was searching all day long in my mopar dealer ship autozone and much more and i couldn't find the same filter i bought a fram filter that has paper/ and some sort of cotton or something like that. air filter part number was CA8205

also i was wandering a few things
1.- I KNOW CAI DO WORK but they sacrifice protection to the engine by that i mean mud/water/ dust. but there is any filter that will fit on the stock airbox to gain more protection or mpg or hp.
i did saw this product in youtube what you think about it can it be true?
has anybody run this air filter?

2.- does the trumpet restrict air flow?
i think its small but will it restrict air flow? any mod to make the tube bigger or wider?

3.- can i remove the old foam and stick it to the new air filter just to make more protection? (of course clean it) or it will restrict air flow?

The trumpet does not restrict any air flow. You will only see power increase with a CAI in a jeep at near redline RPM's and Wide open throttle. Dyno proven. Amsoil EA air filters are great filters and they probably make a size for the stock box

Trueflow was out of business the last I heard, I ran one temporarily years ago in my previous TJ when I couldn't run the stock air box due to my York air compressor being in the way.

The very best paper element air filter, which is the only type I will run, in tests I have seen always seems to consistently be from AC-Delco... which is also what I run. Personally, I'd run AC-Delco, Wix, Fram, Purolator, etc. paper element air filters and not worry about all the gimmick air filters & air intake systems out there.
Gone wheeling Friday through Sunday.

When you have a choice, buy American.

I should have taken some pics, but I put a Fram in my TJ a year and a half ago. A couple weeks ago I replaced it with a Wix (I'm a long time Wix fan, they're all I install on customers' vehicles) and the Wix has probably 1/3 more pleats than the Fram (more surface area) and has a slightly thicker sealing edge around the perimeter. It's just all around a better quality filter than the Fram. Yes, the Wix is more expensive, from my local family owned parts store, than the Fram from Autozone, but..........
