Air Intake suggestions

Before someone flames me, I did try searching for this topic.

So I have a K&N Intake on my 4.0 and have heard some bad reviews about it so I was wanting to get suggestions on what would be the best to swap with.

Thank you for your help.

Yep just go back to stock if you are still using the OE air filter box. A standard air filter has so much surface area that it has more air flow capability than the engine is capable of consuming at even wide-open throttle at redline engine rpms.

Okay thanks for the help, but I do not have the OE air filter . And after reading some more I guess the jet chip is gonna be coming out as well.

What about throttle body spacers, are these any help?

Spacers do wonders for carburetors and the no longer used old-style TBI (throttle body injection) type systems. But installing a spacer under the type of throttle body a TJ has (which passes nothing more than air) does absolutely nothing... zip, nada.

A tornado fuel saver will make a HUGE difference though!

...just kidding

I haven't read about the jet chips, but unless there's some negative effects with using one, it probably won't kill you to just leave it in if you already have it.

put the stock airbox back on and get a amsoil ea air filter. they filter better and flow better than stock. AMSOIL Ea Air Filters - Nanofiber Technology

don't buy it from amsoil, you can find them for half that price on ebay.
