Airbag light on and off now engine light

About a month ago I had to ride my son up front for a short distance in his car seat and turned the airbag off. Since then the airbag light has been on and off (mostly on).

Yesterday I was driving home from work and the engine light popped on for no reason and when I got home I hooked up my code scanner and it showed P0123 which is apparently the TPS sensor.

It's my understanding the clock spring can cause both of these to act up but cant find any solid information backing this up with a search.

Any help would be appreciated...

Oddly enough, it started bucking like a bronco last night on the way home so I stopped in O'Rileys on the way home and got the TPS sensor and put it in. So far so good but the airbag light is still on.

Suggestions other than paying the dealer a few hunge to fix it?

I just bought a 98 TJ from a friend who lives 4 hours away. Brought the Jeep home a week ago. Last week my Tach and Speedometer would momentarily go dead and the airbag light would come on at around 60 MPH. I'd tap on the brakes and they'd jump back to life. Been going on for a week now and last night the check engine light popped on. Sounds like our problems are similar. Any ideas out there?
