Hey Guys,
I have posted a couple of posts regarding recent light issues I have been having. To date I have lost:
1. Instrument cluster lights
2. Dash lights
3. Tail lights (brake lights still work)
4. Fog Lights
5. Steering wheel power functions
I know that the replacing the clockspring will resolve the steering wheel issues but it seems that there is a virus spreading through my car and that it is just one electrical system after another. This includes the heater switch wiring that recently melted itself into a giant plastic blob. Though I fixed that, it seems that more and more functions are disappearing. I have checked all of the basic things that I can (fuses, wiring, amps) nothing has been conclusive and have just sent it to a mechanic. I haven't touched electrical since I screwed up the wiring on my LR Defender.
Anything I can tell him to keep the bill down or save a few hours in labor?
Thanks!
