I have the t- handle in my Jeep and i love it, the only downside if you live somewhere where it gets cold in the winter, it sucks grabbing a metal handle but i just wrap mine in leather for the winter, solves the problem. Make sure when you order your handle you know what size threads you have, there are two standard thread sizes that come and one metric, find out which one you have, that could be your rattling problem. Also use threadlocker like it says, that makes a world of difference

Before spending good money on a new shifter (unless you want to), try a small bit of locktite on the threads or a small (read: SMALL) bead of silicone or RTV. It will help keep it tight and no more rattles as the silicone makes a buffer between the metal parts.
