Another front locker wont engage ?

I just got an 06 LJ rubicon, and the front locker flashes but will not engage. I switched the line for the front and rear axles and the front locked. The front gets voltage to the pump, but the pump becomes VERY HOT! So I am guessing the pump is shot, so I will order a new one. Anything I may have overlooked? Thx. GO STEELERS!

Is there an air leak in the line causing the pump to continuously run? The pumps are about 300 a piece so look at that first.

The front pump does not run at all. I unplugged both the intake and exhaust ports on the pump and nothing happens.

If the front locker's compressor is getting 12 volts but it doesn't run, it's pretty obvious that it is defective. Look around for a used Rubicon compressor, they are around.

Having worked on the Rubi pumps and air system more than I ever wanted to, I figure that's about $120 more than they are worth.

I recently had a pump go bad on my Rubicon. Replaced it for $129 plus shipping from wholesalemopar.com.

Jerry, I know you have a rubicon that came without pumps(at least I think that is correct). Did you use mopar brand pumps or did you change to some other type of pump or locker?

Thanks
TC
