any wiring experts?

When Wiring in my speakers system w/ sub and amp, I was looking for the acc wire to connect to my amp so it would turn on and off with the car ignition. I have alot of extra wires in my dash because the guy before me was an emergency responder, and had a light system and a cb I guess. anyways, Jeeps already have too many wires inside. While going through the wires, It too three tries to find a hot wire ( that I thought was acc. actually my brother thought) but it turned out not to be, anyways. I wired my amp to that and set a switch up. I put dash together, and I guess some of the wires that we cut through were the ones running to my instrument panel and my shifter lights, because they dont work anymore (thanks bro) so I just got around to going in to fix them, and I dont have any matching wires to put together, and I dont know what he cut from where... I have a black, blue w/white stripe, and yellow wire open. I used a multimeter to check for continuity and for power, and I wasnt finding anything that was helping... this is a real mess, and I would really like to see how fast im going at night... so if anyone knows/can find out which wires go to the instrument panel and shifter lights, I would be so appreciative! I didnt just want to start testing wires or hooking up to hots, so I dont blow something.

Also, does anyone know which wire to hook up and aux. cig lighter/ aux power to? I have one installed but its disconnected.

I know this is a mess, and I doubt anyone can help me, but any suggestions would be appreciated. I have an open mind that maybe someone will have an idea I didnt think of. thanks!

There should be a wire that is part of your head unit that is actually made to be a remote wire for the amp. Unless you are still running a stock unit? Most aftermarket units I have used had a wire labeled something along the lines of "REM" which was for an amp.
