Anyone experienced SmartParts NV3550?

All,

I'm looking at a transmission replacement and found SmartParts on Ebay. The reviews are all good, but wondering if anyone here has used them. Their price is better (including shipping and return shipping for core) than what I can get locally, and they are claiming the following:

"This is a new transmission that we have gone into and corrected certain factory flaws witch over time tend to be the main cause of it breaking down. The OEM NV3550 has a problem with hard shifting and jumping out of first and second gear. We have implemented a process here upgraded parts virtually eliminate these flaws. After our upgrade process every transmission is Dyno-Tested to ensure flawless performance out of the box"

Any reason not to do this?
Thanks,
Aaron

I haven't heard of them but pricing seems to be decent for what I have seem.

I've heard the factory 6 speed transmissions are not the best and I see they offer these as well.... so I will be watching this thread to see if anyone chimes in with any good feedback about the company.

Couldn't be happier with the tranny. Unit made it to Cincinnati two days after I ordered. I replaced clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing. Transmission has been great so far and the company was great to work with. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a replacement. A transmission company in Cincinnati wanted $2600 to install a rebuilt, and I am in 1150 for this unit with shipping.

Thank you for the update.
I sent them a message about the 6 speed as it is showing out of stock.
They had no eta of when they would have them in stock..... if I ever need mine rebuilt I might consider sending them mine and just leave my Jeep parked until it comes back.
