The tranny of course and the ECU out of a 99 2.5L Manual TJ. There may be a few other things but those would be the major ones.

Is the 4 banger auto any worse than the manual? I had thought of switching to the auto. What gearing do the 4cyl auto's have? I wonder how the manual with 4.10's would do?

I think you'd be better off with the stick. The 3-speed really isn't the best on the 4cyl.

Try gears first... will be much cheaper than a tranny swap.

Hmmmmm, so what part of the country do you live in jduran? I have a friend out here that wheels a TJ 4 cylinder with a manual 4.88's on 37's. He's itching so bad to put an auto in. This would almost be perfect for you both to swap running gear if you were close enough.

Hmmmm, Shipping might be a killer on all that. There are quite a few parts you two would have to sniper from each others junk. We are out here in AZ. I told him about it though. He's on this board as Fatbob309.
