About 20,000 miles ago it would grind going from 2nd to 3rd if I shifted too fast. I learned to slow it down. Eventually it's gotten to the point now where if I'm at a stop light and I don't shift into 1st before I come to a dead stop then it won't go in at all unless I really I mean really force it into gear. No grinding to speak of since I shift slow but if I need to get into reverse there is some serious grinding. From everything I know it sounds like the synchronizers are going/are bad. I just wanted to see if anyone else had any thoughts on the situation or maybe experienced something similar.
If it is indeed the synchros is there a kit I can buy? If not what exactly do I need parts wise? Hub, sleeve springs etc?
