I am guessing this has been asked a gajillion times and prob should have a stick of some sorts I guess maybe.

To complete my build upgrade mechanically I am having a SYE kit installed in October, as well I am looking for......

A straight bolt in Dana 44 (hopefully with the 4.10 gears) axle assembly that I can roam the local yard and purchase that is a straight bolt in. I do NOT require lockers because I am NOT a rock crawling huge obstacle kinda guy. I do all of my wheeling up here in Oregon where maybe going over large down tree or one if I have too small stump and medium rocks. So is there a truck, Wagoneer, or any other vehicle that I can swap with minimal adapting. I know a lot of you are happy with the Ford 8.8 I have seen them in the local yard but which years and models have the 4.10 gears if I choose that route. I would prefer to stay within the (JEEP) family if possible. I don't want to modify my jeep much if I don't have too,

Also a mechanic friend of mine suggested I put a shifter kit in my auto trans its a 99.

If you are looking for a "straight bolt in" with 4.10 gears for your TJ then it will be a Rubicon D44 (front or rear). I doubt you find these in a bone yard. Better to buy them online complete as a set and swap the front and rears together. I know you said you didn't need lockers, but nobody needs them until you use them for the first time, then you will "need" them because you won't want to go back to open diffs. If you go this route, you get the lockers as that's how they come.

You might find a rear D44 off on LJ or Sahara, but it will not have 4.10 stock unless it was a Rubicon or modified.

Anything else is going to require welding and various other non "bolt in" fabrication work.

Unfortunately, it seems to be the same everywhere. Straight bolt in 44s are pretty rare, and when you do find one, they are asking crazy money for them.

Maybe look at ECGS, G2 they make complete axle assemblies in any flavor you want.

agreed with whats said above. i'll be putting mine up for sale in the next few months. rubi d44 with 160k miles and i have no doubt that i'll get $1200+ for it.

dont discount a locker or other traction modifier to only the rock crawling crowd. they are beneficial in just about every off-road scenario. if only so you dont have to beat on your rig and can slowly and controllably crawl over/through an obsticle
