Axle question

Last weekend lady pulled out and I sealed her door shut and not much damage to my jeep till looked closer and the axle is bent at lower control arm and bowed my axle housing. I have an Lj and want to upgrade it to d44 but not sure what be easier to gear front to 3.73 or back axle to 4.11. I have a track lock in the rear.

If you have an LJ, you should already have a Dana 44. I hope you come out okay if insurance is involved in paying for it. If you are going to re-gear, now is the time.

The process to regear a f/r axle is the same. There isn't much benefit to installing a front Dana 44 other than a D44 can be geared to a lower ratio than the D30 can. A Rubicon front D44, which uses many D30 components, is really no stronger overall than a TJ D30 is.

That's what I was wondering before I do whole regear thing. I got a d44 in rear but the d30 in front I saw it as upgrade time but if not worth it then just go with d30. I was alright my tire hit first so that messed it up.
