Back Seat Hardware

Ok I removed my backseat and all of the hardware a few summers ago to bedline the whole thing, never got around to putting it back in and I now have the 4 "bracket" pieces and am missing a bunch of bolts, but anways i messed around with it for a little but can someone post pics of how the brackets go and whatnot? Its for a 99, trying to get answers tonight so i can pick up the missing bolts tomorrow. Thanks

I have a '99 with the seat currently out and the brackets in. However, I'm in class right now for another 3 hours so I can't post pics until I get home and upload them to a host. I'll set a reminder on my phone now in case nobody else posts up pics tonight.

I found the hardware bolt info on another forum does this look right?

The brackets for the front of the seat (attaches to the floor) use the following screw size:
(4) M8 x 1.25 x 35 hex head screw and washer

The brackets for the rear of the seat (attaches to sides) use the following screw size:
(4) 5/16" x 1" pan head screw (16tpi)

Id stick with home dept or lowes or anything but the stealership.. I mean dealership haha they overcharge like CRAZY. at least around here they do idk bout anyone else. Also they never understand what im talking about when i try to get a quote. Id steer clear of the dealer and stick with lowes or sears and look for the bolt sizes on the forum

Not to hijack the thread, but I have almost the exact opposite problem, I have all the hardware, but I'm missing the front brackets! Does anyone know where to get some? I haven't called around to the junkyards yet, but just thought I'd ask here to see if anyone had a line on some.

Im sure theres many people here who have removed rear seat for storage space and have those laying around to possibly give away. If you dont get any hits here, try the wanted section or the "Take a part, Leave a part" thread. Your bound to find them somewhere if there isnt a place that sells them

Yeah I didn't want to go to the dealership but i know there'd be no guesswork there...but going to try HD again tomorrow or Sears, do those specs I posted earlier look correct?

And I'd check a JY for those brackets, probably really cheap

Just to prevent that happening again. Make sure you get grade 8 bolts. They cost more but it's worth the upgrade. Stealership probly sold you cheap grade hardware.

Also theres a chance the threads in the floor got fubar'd or something. Running a tap and die through to clean out any possible burrs or crossthreads will just make your job easier.

I broke one of mine off trying to get it out the other day, so now i gotta figure out how to get the bolt out of there. I'm just gonna replace the other 3 with grade 8's while i'm at it too. If you guys find definite info on bolt sizes please let me know, I need em too. specifically the front brackets.

Had the same thing happen while i was replacing my backseat, ended up drilling it out, PITA... but it worked. I found the bolt sizes on one of these forums, cant specifically remember where but you could just take one of the 3 good ones up to lowes and use it to match to your new bolt to ensure its exactly the same. I always do this just to be safe

This is what I found earlier

The brackets for the front of the seat (attaches to the floor) use the following screw size:
(4) M8 x 1.25 x 35 hex head screw and washer

The brackets for the rear of the seat (attaches to sides) use the following screw size:
(4) 5/16" x 1" pan head screw (16tpi)

unfortunately I only have one of the bolts for the side brackets none for the ones for the floor, really sucks because I broke off one of the floor bolt heads on the pass side and must have covered the one of the drivers side holes because I only see one lol, every time I try fixing something it just makes it worse but thats life

Ok well the side bracket specs above work for me but the floor bolts DO NOT fit at all they go in a little but thats it...the search continues.
