Back seat removal

I have flipped the back seat up, but could still use some more room. Is there an easy way to remove the rear seat than unbolting the hinge bracket? Iím surprised that the engineers didnít allow for a more easily removable back seat. Any help would be appreciated.

Once it is flipped forward it should only be held in by 2 pins on either side of the seat in the front. You should be able to just slide the seat about 2 inches in either direction and it will pull out of the bracket. This is how it is on my 98, they might have changed it in 2003.

X2 - Where the back seat mounts to the floor, there's a rod on each end and a clip. Simply remove the clips and the seat will come out of the bracket.

Since our Jeeps are a little newer than those previously posted, our back seats come out a little different. Jeep made it simple for us, just fold the seat up (towards the front seats) and there is a bar/lever that releases the back seat from the floor brackets. Comes out in mere seconds. I don't even run my backseat anymore since I'm carrying my spare back there.....

yeah, what he said. fold/tumble, then squeeze the two bars at the bottom together and pull the seat out.

Dumb question, on a 2008 4 door Unlimited, how do you fold the seats forward? Where is the release. Thanks in advance for replies.
