Bad shock

So I'm driving and I'm noticing n feeling my jeep bouncing a little bit more than usual (driver rear) I literally get off my seat on certain bumps or dips on the street... Could this be a bad shock? Must it be replace asap or I can continue jeepin or is it not safe at all?

Better get under there and check, is it broken at the axle or the top at the frame? Is it the bolt? Is it the shock or has the shock pin worn and broken? If you run it the way it is further damage can result and the handling characteristics compromised, if you have an accident they may blame you for driving an unsafe vehicle even if the accident isn't your fault. For how easy and cheap it is I'd get under there and check.
