Banks Exhaust System

Hey all, can someone give me some feedback on the Banks Exhaust Systems. I have to replace my cracked manifold on my 04 6 cyl. And thought I woul go with a Header and a new exhaust system while I'm doing that. Anyone running Banks that can help me out ?

My son has it on his 03 TJ 4.0L. I got if for his birthday. Turnkey installation and it sounds great. Can't tell if power is better. His is a Cat Back system. It uses the original manifold and catalytic converters.

A buddy of mine had it on his 04 and loved it !dont know if it changed the sound or power much because he had a cat back as well and I did not drive it before the new header. IMO banks makes the best quality parts ! I know they won't put there name on just anything, also why they get to charge the large premium.

They don't seem to be much more $ than others. Maybe 50 bucks more than Borla and such.

Running both banks exhaust and intake, really impressed with them both. Exhaust is really silent, but always gives some sound at some high speed, definitely worth the money. Perfect combo!

I am currently running the banks monster cat back exhaust in my 04 tj i6. I absolutely love it. It's quiet enough at idol and it sounds great when you want it to. Around 35 mph in 5th gear or when you have a high load on your engine there is some droning that makes it sound like a Diesel engine but I kind of like it. All in all, best $250 I put into my tj so far.

I've also got the full Banks exhaust with the intake. Love it. Sounds great and lets the Jeep breath more. As of power, not much difference but the throttle response seems improved
