Basic Help

Hey Guys

I bought my 2003 wrangler X a week ago today and need some questions answered.

1. If i were to get a hard top how do i completely remove the soft one from the frame?

2. If the hard top has rear defroster and wiper, how do i get those up and running?

3. If I get full doors, do i need to get a brand new set of keys (to lock and unlock the door) or could i just get remote unlocking and save myself the hassle of replacing the locks with ones that fit my key?

Mopar wiring kits are available from jeepsareus.com, quadratech and elsewhere. I added the kit to my 03. Any 97-06 hard top will fit. If you get a 97-02, the top connector is different and you will need an adaptor to go on your kit or wire it yourself to the top connector

Even if you got power locks, I'd still want a key. If you buy doors, they may come with the key or a dealer or lock smith can rekey the locks.

Thanks for the video, and just out of curiosity is it difficult to wire the defroster and wiper?

Haha unfortunately my version of plug and play generally ends up in me chucking the object across my garage
