Question Bearings????

What are the bearings called that are located right in between the U joint and where your tire mounts?

That's called a unit bearing hub... aka unitary bearing hub. The bearings are sealed and considered non-serviceable so the unit bearing hub itself is replaced when the bearings inside go bad.

Remember that having a different opinion doesn't also require one to be a jerk when expressing it.

When you have a choice, buy American.

They aren't only considered non-serviceable they are definitely non-serviceable. If you get one apart there is no way in hell it's going back together.

Running big tires on the TJ 30 or 44 is going to eat thru Unit Bearings faster than you would think. Best way to make it cheaper on yourself is to go to Napa and spend the 100 bucks a piece on the lifetime warrantied bearings so when you wear them out you won't have to spend the money again.
