To be honest, I want to get some big bulky tires that look badass that can take stray rocks and won't **** up from a sharp jagged rock catching it. Trick is I want them good, but not super expensive.

As said, it looks like 30x9.5R15 are your best bet.

For 4x4 vehicles like our Jeep's, all tires need to be same diameter & have the same tread design. It's more of a safety issue than anything else.

If you have open differential axles front and rear, you can run a mismatched size in an emergency, for a short period of time, but it's not a long term solution. If you have automatic locker or even limited-slip, you're limited to all tires having equal diameter. Plan accordingly with your spare tire as well.

It looks like somebody cobbled together some used junk to put on your Jeep. This is stuff that should be noticed immediately and go into negotiations on price, and then fixed upon taking ownership. You have to factor it into regular maintenance costs to make the vehicle road worthy, just like brakes and inspecting the frame for rust issues.

The 30x9.50R15 is an optional stock size. I would encourage you to buy 5 tires. (all five really should match if you can afford it)

If you're curious whether your Jeep is lifted measure from the top to the bottom of a front spring and list the measurement here.

I don't think yours is lifted based on the profile pic. I've been wrong before.

On size. I'd go with a 30 or 31" tire assuming your Jeep isn't lifted. What sort of offroading do you participate in?

On buying. Once you decide on a size and one or two tires that you like the design of I'd suggest you call everyone local to you. get their price on them all installed. Shopping around saved me about 300.00 vs just going with "discount tire" on my last jeep.

Don't worry about the bullshit above about your current tire size clusterfuck. you're trying to fix that...and that's what we should all be focusing on. We really need more info to be able to give you a helpful recommendation. TO recap

- Measure the front spring mount distance (top of spring to bottom of spring)
- what sort of offroading are you doing/planning on?
- how often do you plan on offroading?
- do you have other plans for the jeep anytime soon (lift, etc...be realistic here...)
- if it's not too rude to ask, what is your budget?

When I was 19 my truck had 4 same size tires.

If you don't know what your jeep has then stick with 30s or 31s. Otherwise you should find out what you have so you can match tire size to jeep height appropriately.

I have a set of 33" duratracs that I just put on. I paid $1k for 4 of them mounted, balanced, road hazard blah blah blah from Discount tire but I don't know if that deal will hold for you as well. YMMV and IME and whatnot..

Okay so for an all terrain tire that looks nice and that will last a while, but not to expensive to were I could buy two at a time, (no way I could buy all 4, I bring home about 850 every two weeks, by the end of the month have a total of about 350ish left after rent, elec, Internet ect)

All I do is slight mud (I don't burry it, just hit sorta deep puddles, and slight climbing (no big rocks just sorta steep hills) this is nothing around her for me. I do plan on adding a lot of ascetics after repairs. I plan on redoing my interior, I plan on getting a light bar, I plan on getting light guards, and a new audio system. But all of that will be done after I get my spark plugs and wires changed, and my power steering and washer fluid reservoir, and my shroud changed. I have about a $200ish dollar a month budget.

31"s

This is arguably the best all around A/T tire out. That is the largest size you'd want to run on your Jeep...

You can save 30-40 a tire by going with some other "good" options and stay in that same size.

Another damn good option that will last forever is the BFG All Terrain TA KO. They are a damn good tire. The Cooper above is also a nice tire for the $$.

OR, you can go back with a smaller tire (I personally wouldn't.)..but you gotta do what ya gotta do...and only you can make this decision. you'll get the price down to about 110. per tire (you may be able to beat these prices locally, especially after shipping from Tirerack).

I will make a suggestion. It's worth what you're paying for it. "Buy once, buy right" Don't skimp on tires. It will bite you later. I don't mean you have to buy the Duratrac....I probably wouldn't if I were in your position. But don't buy a no name brand, or a straight street tire. Tires matter more than anything when you get into nasty stuff. Having said that. you've managed to not get stuck so far (I assume). So as long as you don't get more bold, you'll be fine

Try Tire Depot.
I would not mix tire sizes I had a quote from them a while ago for 4 Cooper
"Cooper Discoverer H/T (SUV) P225/75R15 102S 476.00 with tax for 4 include mounting and computer balancing"
Not a hard core off road tire, but good AT daily driver.

Oversized, heavier tires are EXPENSIVE. Even if you find a place where you can get them cheaper you are looking at damn close to a grand for only 4 33" tires. I would look for something smaller, in the 30-31" range would probably be much more affordable. Similar in size to the JK stock tire probably (but for a 15" wheel)

And I would stop driving immediately. Every single component in your drivetrain will be stressed by 3 different size tires on 4 wheels. I can't even believe that can happen?! It's going to stress the hell out of the U joints, the driveshaft and the differentials to be on completely different angles sitting on level road. I imagine the ride is terrible too.
