The heat/ac blower on my 2002 Sahara worked fine. All of sudden only the high speed setting works. After reading posts on this and other sites I replaced the resistors. Same thing. Replaced the switch. Same thing. Any other ideas before I throw in the towel and visit the stealership?
Are you sure the back of the plastic switch is ok and actually turning the metal switch post?
Sometimes they crack and it feels like it's turning the switch when it's not.
I had the same problem. Replaced the resistor and still only worked on high. Ended up being a defective replacement resistor. (Found that out when I replaced the blower motor and part of the "new" resistor fell out when I removed the old blower motor) :banghead:
Took it to the dealer. He said I had pushed the new resistor in too far and it was blocking the fan from turning. Doesn't seem quite right because I am 90% positive it was still blowing on the High setting. But that's what he said and its working great now--$75.
With that in mind I'd recommend attaching the wiring to the resistor card before putting it into the blower. If I pushed it in too far it almost certainly happened when I was pushing the wiring connector on.
