Brake caliper to Steering Knuckle threads stripped

Hi guys, I found today that the threads holding my brake caliper onto the RH steering knuckle have stripped out. Both the bolts and the tapped thread in the knuckle. Any easy fix? Is it best to find a replacement Knuckle? Jeep is a daily driver so needs to be right. Any adeas or help greatly received and appreciated. Thank you.

That sucks! The torque specs on the caliper bolts are really low, something like 12 ft lbs or around there....

That's caused by overtightening those bolts, they are only tightened to 13 ft-lbs. due to being threaded into aluminum.

I did the same thing years ago, you can buy thread repair kits for around $25/$30 bucks.

Thanks for the advice/help guys. I don't imagine a knuckle saver kit will be available here but helicoils are, looks like I will be heading down that track (excuse the pun). You guys are awesome. Lesson to self, always check the service manual prior to working on her. Didn't realise the torque was so low.

Hi Guys, after getting your advice went in and got the knuckle helicoiled. local engineer did it for $55, which is cheaper than buying a kit. Now assembled and all good to go. Yay! Easy trip coming this next weekend.
