Brake Light

I unbolted the interior of 97 TJ today to get ready for a Rhino lining weekend. I get done and start the jeep and my brake light is glowing but very low. I pull the e brake and it lights up bright. I put it down and it still on but low. I take it for a spin and everything seems fine ( had all the lines replaced last month). Then I plugged in my drvers side seat beat connection and it came on a little brighter. I did notice my center console was leaning to the left a little. When I removed it I saw the bracket was to the left. A few whacks of the hammer and it straightened out. Could hitting the bracket causde this?

I put a black arrow on the part I hit. As you can see I took everything out. If I messed up a ground where could it be?

Check for any loose wires in the area where the work was going on. If that doesn't work go to the tailights themselves and check that you have ground there using an inexpensive test meter. Usually dim lights are caused by a bad ground.

I guess the jeep fairies came last night and fixed it. I started it today and the light was out. Thanks for the help
