brake light switch

have non working brake lights-all the other lights work, running, turn, 4 way-just no brake lights. hopefully it's just the switch and here's my question. where can i get one? is it a dealer part or will one of the parts store carry them and any idea what they cost.
thanks, and yes i tried the 4 way switch thing-but then again mine were working to begin with.

Could either be a switch or a fuse or bad connection.
I'd start with a fuse and go from there. Sure your bulbs are good? The switch you can get from local auto stores, no need for dealer. Just do an online search at any auto store in your area.

thanks all, turned out to be the switch. wish all fixes were this cheap($12) and this quick. had a feeling it was the switch as i checked everything else-found a write up on how to check the switch and sure enuf it failed.
girls have their bad hair days-i've been having a bad vehicle day. started with the ride home from work last nite with no heat-blower motor didn't want to work. got home, checked fuses, relay and now working-that's when i found out no stop lights. this am was going to take the truck to work-no start. all in all it's been a fun 2 days but all better now.
why can't this crap happen in the summer instead of the dead of winter-boy it was cold and dark @ 5am this morning.
