Brake question.

im curious why are there two spots that you can pour brake fluid into?

in the master cylinder and another thingy

Im not sure what that is. I think the braking system is stock both the caps on the master cylinder and the black thing say dot 3 brake fluid so they're deffinetly both for the braking system.

The small black one is for your clutch slave cylinder. And yes it uses DOT3 brake fluid also.

Its the master cylinder for your hydraulic clutch, and yes it uses brake fluid.

OK, since this post is relatively new, I'll ask this....

How do you replace that master cylinder? I know this sounds like a realtively straight forward question, but I bought this kit yesterday and a Haynes manual and it doesn't give you crap!

I think I have the basics down, but the replacement part I bought from the parts house has a small baggie of misc hardware with it. Not sure I know where all that goes. Was looking for a "write-up" from someone on here.

I would guess for bleeding the system for the small parts...
