Brakes

Hey all - Quick question. On my way home from work I smelled something and when I parked I did a sniff around the Jeep. It was coming from the passenger rear wheel and the wheel was very hot. Has anyone ever had a brake sticking/dragging issue?

Was the center of the wheel hot, because that's a sure sign of your wheel bearing going bad. Might want to have that checked before they seize up.

I never had it happen but I pulled up next to a dork driving some sort of a European convertable with his rear passenger tire on fire. I tried telling him but he looked annoyed that I interrupted his cell conversation. So I giggled and drove away.

You need to find out what is creating the heat and get it fixed. Brakes create very high heat if they are sticking.

No it had that hot brake smell and the whole wheel was hot. I dont think it is a wheel bearing. I will pull the wheel off tomorrow. I was just wondering if this a common or sorta common problem.

Haha my son had to put the guy under the chair thing! Sorry about that.
